When There's No Flowers

I wanted to pick some flowers for the
apartment but the recent hot weather has ravaged
any flowers suitable for cutting.

So I made do with some ruffled fishbone
fern, variegated Pittosporum and variegated dwarf
Canna leaves, took some photos and then
realised I had lost my camera USB cable.
So unable to load those photos, here's some leaves
 I prepared earlier!

I have used variegated canna, plane tree,
magnolia, ginger lily and calla lily leaves in
a collection of green glass jars and bottles.
I think they make a nice display.

Now excuse me while I turn the place upside down.
That cable has to be somewhere!

  2. Hello Penny:
Actually we rather like your arrangements of leaves which do, in our view, make a refreshing change from flowers all of the time. And you have grouped them so very attractively.

  11. Proof positive that a little zesty green can also look stunning in a vase. Thanks heavens for some leaves prepared earlier Penny. Hope you find your cable. It's so frustrating when that sort of thing happens!

  12. This is so pretty. We have the opposite problem..too cold for flowers to grow. The indigenous ferns and other foliage offer a welcome reprieve during our long grey winters.

  13. I always forget about using random foliage instead of flowers. It looks so good! I hope you found that cable :)
